I actually thought of you the other day when I finally figured out the "back way" from my house to the local park, which requires a short trek through the wooded wetlands at the end of my road. It was totally worth all the cobwebs stuck to my face -- apparently the trail isn't used much -- as on the way I saw two blue herons and when I popped out of the woods into the open field it was full of native wildflowers and lovely pollinators. You would have liked it.

Nice.

Some wildflowers are planted by people. There is a section along I-280 that has a sign that says who planted the wildflowers there. Ironically, that section has far fewer wildflowers than other sections nearby.
