A Wedding in Graeagle
Heather sent me an email last spring asking if we did weddings. She needed a wedding photographer who could mountain bike. How could we say no to a wedding that would include mountain bikes?! Needless to say, I was bummed to still be nursing the broken collarbone back to health and unable to ride, but we still had an absolute blast shooting Heather and Matt's wedding weekend.
The Chalet View Lodge near Graeagle served as headquarters for the weekend, with hikes, mountain bike rides, trout fishing, and of course, an beautiful outdoor wedding and reception. The venue was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, and Heather and Matt are a beautiful couple.
And, the combination of mountain bikers and Chico State friends in attendance made for one hell of a fun party!
The wedding day started early with a big group mountain bike shred session down Mills Peak.
After the dirt session, the bridal party headed back to the Lodge to get ready.
Love this moment between Heather and her mom.
While the girls were getting ready, Matt had time to show off Shiloh's best tricks.
But eventually the groom and his men got fancied up as well.
The little pond with a dock at the Chalet View Lodge makes for a great place to do a first look. Matt's expression say so much about how much he adores Heather.
And then it was time for a ceremony in the pines.
The little rustic details at the reception were on point for the outdoor venue.
I'm not sure that I've ever seen a couple so completely enthralled with each other during a first dance than these two.
The rest of the evening included a fantastic food truck, toasts, cupcakes, more dancing, and s'mores!
Congratulations Heather and Matt! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day. You know how to throw one hell of a party!
